Members of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department SWAT Team conducted a high-risk arrest and search warrant operation Wednesday at a home in the 3300 block of Washington Street.
According to TAPD, the operation was part of an ongoing criminal investigation involving high-risk search and arrest warrants.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody safely and without incident. The department said SWAT resources are used in situations that may present an elevated risk to officers, residents and the surrounding community.
TAPD says additional information about the investigation and any possible charges will be released when available.
